Resorts World New York City has reopened its first floor to introduce 1,400 additional slot machines. The expansion took place in July 2026, less than three months after the venue launched as the state's first full-fledged casino.
The facility generated $230m in gross gaming revenue during its first 11 weeks of operation. Robert DeSalvio, president of Genting Americas East, noted that the new games allow the venue to accommodate more patrons and increase tax contributions to the state.
Dragon Den and Future Development Plans
The new section features the Dragon Den, which hosts 114 Aristocrat themes, including 48 Dragon Link games. Players can access a $1m progressive jackpot within this area, bringing the total slot count at the venue to 3,900.
This update marks the initial phase of a $5.5bn development project. By 2030, the site plans to feature a 350,000 sq ft gaming floor with 6,000 slots and 800 table games, alongside a 7,000-seat entertainment venue, 2,000 hotel rooms, and 10 acres of public green space.
